My patient and understanding children and their husbands for never doubting that I could do it.

My wonderful dogs, who I hope don’t suffer from the experience, but enjoy all the wonderful exercise.

All our wonderful family and friends who have given us such fantastic support, together with my ex colleagues and students at Kirkby Stephen Grammar School & Sports College for their faith in me and their good wishes and sponsorship.

Rotary Clubs: to our local clubs and those we visited on the walk, many thanks for your hospitality and generous donations.

Businesses and private individuals, who have kindly sponsored us, both in finance and with goods for use or to be sold at a later date for the charities. In particular we would like to thank:

Tebay (Cumbria) distributors of Hill’s Science Plan dog food, who kindly offered us the food for all four dogs for the entire walk.  www.myhillspet.co.uk  This is a specialised high performance food which means they need less quantity whilst still getting all the nutrients, which reduces the likelihood of bloat. (Watch the website for more detailed   information).
